What Did I Do For One Week

1. Exercise... A lot... But I'm still not satisfied...
2. Eat all kinds of foods in moderate amounts...
3. Watch movies in DVDs that are long outdated(most of them are good, better then current blockbusters hitting the cinema, not to mention the drama LOST =="')
4. FB... mostly playing a new game called Tycoons. It s interesting though, and I don't have to be in front of the CPU all day... =D
5. Practice songs that I want to learn
6. Well if I'm lucky, then maybe go out once in a while or every week for a football match...

It's damn boring... But I can't inject some fun or excitement like going on a trip because most of my friends aren't in rainy Taiping...

But I know when school reopens, I'm gonna miss holidays like HELL...

Boy oh boy... aren't we humans ironic and complicated... =D

Letters From Iwo Jima

It has been a long time since I watched a good movie. This is a 2006 film. It's about a story of Japanese civilians conscripted to defend the island of Iwo Jima. That time it was WW2

Iwo Jima is just a small barren island, but as you can see here, it lies directly between Japan and the Philippine. If the US managed to gain control of the island, the US would used it as their base to attack Japan. So containing the island was vital.

But as Japan had earlier suffered losses, the mainland was unable to lend in support to defend Iwo Jima. So it's up to the soldiers there to defend for their lives. Although they were no match for the US, but it was the sheer fighting spirit that overwhelmed me...

Ken Watanabe as Army Lt. General Tadamichi Kuribayashi

But on the other hand, there was one scene where they were lectured to identify US medics and told to bring them down. It's kinda cruel and I somehow reject this thinking.

This film is definitely worth watching. Although it's in Japanese, but it was directed by Clint Eastwood and Spielberg was one of the producer. So it's definitely Hollywood-class...

By the way, it's way better then 2012... XD

River Flows In You a.k.a. Bella's Lullaby-Yiruma/ Edward Cullen

This song is so sweet. If you're a Twilight fanatic, then you can feel that Edward has channeled his feelings and thoughts for Bella in this lullaby. How he would risk everything to protect her, how he would even make the most hurting but best decisions to keep her safe...

Why do I say so? Cos for some reasons, I always think of "her" everytime I listen to this...

2012

First of all, I would like to say that, this movie, is not to be hyped. It does not deserve such attention. All I can say is the effects are awesome, but the plot, it's too slipshod. Not flowing. Why? Cos in the end, after watching, you'd think back, hey, this started in 2009? Why suddenly jump so fast?

But other then the plot, the characters, those portrayed, are the people who we see today. Those who are selfish, those who fear death so much. And the frantic actions men take when disaster strikes, as they get ready to defy God, defy Judgement Day.

It is not the main characters that teaches us lessons, rather the minor characters. The Lama, Charlie the nutcrack...

Carl Anheuser, the President's Chief of Staff

Charlie

When is it the time to care for each other, to understand each other, if not now? For when disasters really strike, humans cowardly flee and forget the true meaning of humanity, the day we stop fighting and caring for each other, the day civilisation lost it's true meaning.

And for Charlie, who died in a volcano eruption in Yellowstone, at least he got a chance to witness Earth's fury and beauty, right before his very eyes, but for those who viewed from the universe, it's just a speck of smoke.

Die with pride and honour, rather then live by carrying thousands of sins that haunt you the rest of your lives...

Ah Pek and The Pope

This email I got from my mum...

About a century or two ago, the Pope decided that all the Chinese had to
leave Italy . Naturally there was a big uproar from the Chinese
community. So the Pope made a deal. He would have a religious debate
with a member of the Chinese community. If the Chinese win, they could
stay. If the Pope wins, the Chinese would have to leave.

The Chinese realized that they had no other choice. So they picked an
old man named Ah Pek to represent them.

As Ah Pek was not conversant in Italian language, he asked for one
condition to be added to the debate.
'To be fair', he said, 'neither side would be allowed to talk'.
The Pope agreed.

On the day of the big debate, Ah Pek and the Pope sat opposite each
other for a full minute.

Then the Pope raised his hand and showed three fingers.
Ah Pek looked back at him and raised one finger.

The Pope waved his fingers in a circle around his head.
Ah Pek pointed to the ground at where he sat.

The Pope pulled out a loaf and a glass of wine.
Ah Pek pulled out an apple.

The Pope stood up and said: 'I give up. This man is too good in
religious knowledge. The Chinese can stay.'

An hour later, the cardinals were all around the Pope asking him what
happened.
The Pope said, 'First I held up three fingers to represent the holy
trinity. He responded by holding up one finger to remind me that there
was still one God common to both our religions.
Then I waved my finger around me to show him that God was all around us.
He responded by pointing to the ground and showing that God was also
right here with us.
I pulled out the wine and loaf to show that God absolves all sin. He
showed me an apple to remind us of the original sin.

He had an answer for everything. What could I do??'

Meanwhile, the Chinese community also crowded around Ah Pek and asked
him what's happened in the debate.
'Well', said Ah Pek. 'First he indicated to me that all Chinese had 3
days to get out of here. I raised my third finger and asked him to f*@k
off, and that none of us was leaving.
Then he pointed that this whole city would be cleared of Chinese. I
showed him that we are staying right here.'
'Yes, and then???' asked the crowd.
'I don't know', said Ah Pek, 'He took out his lunch, and I took out
mine.'

Nice Email!

I got this very nice email from my friend... So true, and so touching...

喜歡她的落落大方,卻受不了她的朋友一堆;

你愛她的小家碧玉,就不要怪她不夠大方;

What To Do...

ALWAYS, Do the right thing, the right way

DON’T, Do the right things, the wrong way

IF NEEDED, Do the wrong things, the right way

STUPID, when you do wrong things, the wrong way

SOMETIMES, there are things which aren’t wrong, but not the right way

Go The Distance

No matter how hard, no matter how tough, a dream is a dream. A target is a target. Dare to dream, dare to achieve. Reach for the stars, be among the stars.

I Will Go The Distance....

By the way, this is my best Disney Cartoon... =D
